Pietrowski Update January 2013

January has been an extremely busy month as we prepare for our upcoming relocation to Harrogate, England.  The month started with the Lord being pleased to move our Church (Pleasant View Baptist Church), and the presbytery that they called, to ordain me to the Gospel Ministry on January 5th.  To view a copy of the minutes of the meeting, please click here.  It was an honor to have Bro. Hunt oversee the meeting and to have Bro. McClanahan lead the examination.  The presbytery consisted of Brothers Frank McClanahan, Chuck Hunt, William Younger and Stephen Evans.  It was a humbling feeling to be placed into such an office.

The two consecutive Sundays of the 13th and the 20th found us presenting the work that we have been set apart for.  A special thanks is given to the Lord for the churches that have welcomed us this month, South Irvine Baptist in Irvine, Ky and First Baptist in Newton, Ks, as well for those that are planning to do so in February.  It is a joy to speak about what the Lord has laid on my heart to do for His name's sake.

During the time that we have not been working in our jobs and presenting our plans for England, we have still been very busy.  We have been selling those items that we are not taking with us in an effort to provide for the setting up of our home in Harrogate.  The 20 foot (7 meter) shipping container is scheduled to arrive and leave on February 1st.  To prepare for this we have been placing all of the items that we are taking with us in boxes and bins and proceeding to wrap them in shrink wrap to protect them against any elements that might present themselves.  Those items that do not get boxed (the limited furniture we are taking) have been wraped with brown paper when necessary and then shrink wrapped also.  We are thankful to our God for the kind help that we have received in our packing and for those that have volunteered to take their time and efforts to help load the container on the 1st.  We are now sleeping in borrowed sleeping bags until we leave and our goods arrive sometime in early March.

I have been asked repeatedly what our children think of our upcoming move.  The best way I can think of to answer that question is to relate what Malachi said when I told him at one point that we only had 50 more days until we left.  He said, "I wish that it was only one!"  We are all very excited about the doors that the Lord has opened for us to this point and to see what he is going to do in the coming Months.  Please pray with and for us regarding the loading of the container, the sale of our house and van, but mostly for the Lord to use us in the churches that we will be presenting in and ultimately in England.

Colossians 4:3-4 "Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds: That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak."
